Panel Discussion – March 18, 2018

#Me too Movement and Legal Issues

What a great afternoon this turned out to be.  Our panelists were absolutely amazing and our attendees learned some great information on how to make their environment safer for women – and to give women more opportunities.

Congratulations again to the cast and crew of “This is How We Roll” – we screened their film and others from around the world.  “This Is How We Roll” is in the top 30 films – pulled from over 700 films from Women In Film chapters internationally.

#MeToo and the Times Up Movement have been in the news on a daily basis for months.  We are being bombarded with stories about women having issues with sexual harassment, discrimination and workplace misconduct.

Many of us have had similar issues and we hear from our friends and colleagues about their problems.

But – what are the solutions ?  What are we to do?  How do we handle these issues?  What do I do if I face this in the workplace?

This Panel Discussion will feature professionals who will be able to answer your questions.

Colleen Ramage Johnston – Johnston Lykos, LLC – Where Employment Meets The Law

Patricia Cruss of The Women’s Center will discuss their program STANDING FIRM

Amanda Hawkins from the Women’s Law Project

Also – we will screen the Women In Film & Television Short Film Showcase immediately after the panel discussion which features local film “This Is How We Roll”          Films about women – made by women.
