After graduating with a theater science degree in 2015, she has worked in the Pittsburgh film and creative scene ever since; her work ranges from television shows to web series and everything in between. She has been a signed actor with Docherty Agency since December 2020, and when not working with Docherty, she can be found in any of the theaters in and around the city. Stephanie Swift - Director
Stephanie became active in the Pittsburgh film community in 2016 as an extra with The Talent Group. Since then, she has had the privilege of working on an array of projects, from big-budget blockbusters to zero-budget indie films. Her passion for the craft is unwavering, with a particular focus on women-led stories.
Stephanie recently earned a nomination for the Legacy Award for the Pittsburgh 48-Hour Film Project (48HFP), and she had the honor of stepping into the role of Director for the first time in her ninth 48HFP last year. Out of the 50 or so film sets she has participated in as an actor, some of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences have involved women's narratives and female-led crews. Ensuring her cast and crew felt comfortable and safe on set was paramount to her, especially in an industry where women have often been exploited, abused, or gaslit. She aspires to protect the artists who create and propel female-led stories both behind and in front of the camera.
In addition to her acting and occasional crew and directing work, Stephanie is an expert social media marketer, bringing a blend of creativity and strategic thinking to every project she undertakes.
